In its first two years of operation, the Foundation has:
Funded the costs of approximately 150,000 nutritious meals for children in India - for many of them being the only daily meal they will have.
So far for two academic years, sponsored the cost of education of 10 bright children from the poorest areas of Rishikesh in India. An ongoing commitment has been made to see each of these children up to graduation from secondary school to University and perhaps beyond.
Each of those 10 children will also, for the first time in their lives, get a birthday cake each year, large enough to share with their whole family.
Sponsored a 3-day sports event at the Rajasthan school, providing funds for the set-up costs, prizes and meals for over 3000 attendees and their families. This event was not only for the children of the school, but for the other schools in the area invited to join the sports day and to compete in the activities. Funding for a second such sports day in January 2109 has been given, which Chris attended.
Paid for the school uniforms for 200 children at another orphanage and school in India.
Paid for urgent and necessary repairs to pathways and stairs of a school to make it safe for the children to get around the school.
Funded the cost of a reverse osmosis water purification system for a school in a remote rural area of Rajasthan, giving the children of the school clean drinking water for the first time in their lives; and subsequently paying for “armouring” of sensitive parts of the equipment which had come under attack from rodents.
Sponsored a sports day in a village in the Philippines, providing sports kit, trophies and food.
Contributed to the cost of building a paddock for the horses at an orphanage, school and horse rescue centre in South Africa.
Funded the cost of medical bills and food for abused and rescued dogs, including visiting the dogs and providing comfort to them in their isolation and rehabilitation, leading to adoption by loving families.
Twice funded and arranged food distribution in the UAE to workers and abandoned seafarers.
Funded the cost of breakfast at a Sikh Temple in Singapore for students and the poor.
For an 18 month period, provided construction workers in the UAE with daily teatime snacks and fruit juice.
Funded the cost for a year for a full time Sports Teacher plus necessary sports equipment for the Rajasthan school.
